Manhunt 3 Won't See Consoles Anytime Soon as Take 2 Kills the Idea

After speculation about a possible sequel coming out for the Manhunt series, it appears that we have good news and some absolutely heart-breaking news for fans of the series. While Manhunt 3 ideas were being kicked around and going as far as story concepts and art, it appears that Take Two has said no.

ManhuntA lot of fans, GFB staff among them, were pretty excited when rumors of a third entry in the series hitting the Playstation 3 came down the line. The best part was that the team at Rockstar pitching the idea had planned on fully supporting the Playstation Move.

While the confirmation that the game won't appear anytime soon it’s certainly a letdown, we can try to look on the positive side of things. We do know that there are still people within Rockstar who want the series to live on and be made. Maybe it’s just a case of the time not being right. That doesn’t mean we’ll never see the game. We just know now that we won’t be seeing it at this year’s E3.

well wii version with motion controls was canned because it was too up close and personal in a violent way so it got censored and graphically toned down what resulted in a 90%-95% game turning into a 70% game the wii has alot of grusome games now though maybe a ps3/wii release like capcom are doing cross platform wii/ps3 on a few titles

too violent anyways. i know some people like it, but the games seem to get into younger hands than intended and that causes a big mess for the publisher

Yeah now most girls don't play video games but manhunt and manhunt 2 are the only games I have ever loved(yeah I said it) I almost cried when I read this. I beat both of them and still can't put them down! I personally think that these games were the best games to ever come out! And no I'm not sick it's just something about them. They have got to release the third one or I'm going to die! I really don't care what anybody says to this either. Your just jealous you never thought of such a great game.

[Sigh] This sucks. I've always loved the Manhunt series because of it being stealth based. I love stealth action games and the Manhunt series is one of the best stealth games I've ever played, even though the violence can be a bit over-the-top. Oh well I suppose I can wait longer. I realy hope Rockstar Games doesn't let us down

well i don't know about you lot, but i loved the series, got them both and was waiting to hear about a 3rd. i guess it's just the sort of games i like, even Kane and lynch was a master piece in my eyes ( yes 1 and 2) anyway who doesn't like them, thats cool you don't have too but thats was there are different kind of games. i mean don't we all play games to do or be something we're not?

hoping they make it, i'd buy it.

god to everyone who says its too violent....look at our world! its more violent than anything! you can find worse REAL bloody gory things online and you are complaining about another manhunt game? i love the manhunt series and I HOPE TO GOD there is a third one. i love the slashing and killing and blood gore DIE DIE DIE!!! thats why its rated M, so young ones shouldnt play it. it is the kids responsibilities. not the game developers. i want more killings!!!!!
